DEAR DIVERS

April 26, 2009

Summer trips are starting...

First trip of the season to Gordo Banks was a success with good conditions, tons of fish and marine life and the highlight of the trip: Giant pacific Manta on the 2nd dive and 40ft Whale shark swimming around the boat between dives...what a day !!!

In the local area, dives have been good as well with lots of fish, clear and cold water, baby whale shark a week ago...

Stay in touch

DEAR FRIENDS

December 22, 2009

Just a quick note to show our gratitude to all of you, the ones that make Manta still in operation. We would like to thank so many people it would probably take us pages and pages but you all know who you are.

Thanks again to all the MANTA STAFF that makes the job easy and fun, thanks to Eric for the great videos, thanks to all the clients again, thanks for your suggestions that make us grow.

We wish you a 2010 full of health and a Merry Christmas full of joy to you all,

HI!

October 29, 2009

So we hadn’t been successful in the past couple of trips to Gordo Banks and I was starting to be little bit worried  that hammerheads might had just… disappeared?! ... that was, ok… until today when our animal lover DM Luis came with 3 very happy divers from Gordo  proud to say they saw big and I mean big schools of them.

Next trip to Gordo Banks : Sunday November 1st.

I am happy, we all knew October and November are the best seasons for Gordo Banks, too bad we didn’t bring one of our photographers to the sites but hopefully we can get some shots from them soon.

But to make it up to you , check the video below… diving at 20’ with the little sardine run at Pelican rock…sooo relaxing… isn’t it?

HEY!

September 21, 2009

Have been little out of the scene for the past few weeks, finally got back in the water (the 5th time this year!) and it was great, I still need to go and see the sea lions but we are finaly diving with them again, take a look a the video below.

The season is getting better and just as a reminder October is the best time to dive Gordo Banks.

Email us when you have a chance.

WE DIDN'T GET HIT!

September 3, 2009

So don't worry bout the diving!, we are operating after 2 days of the port being closed, and to prove it we are conducting a trip to Gordo Banks this Sunday. Cabo is fine, we didn't have any damages besides some strong winds and some rain ( we needed that though!).

Come and join us diving and enjoy Cabo!

Best,

Melissa

IT'S NOT ALWAYS THE BIG ONES!

August 31, 2009

Diving in the Sea of Cortez lets you experience the pellagics, the wild side of the ocean, hammerheads, other sharks, marlin, and rays. But let's not forget also about the little ones, the ones that make the dives diverse and fun, this is what we like about Cabo, we can find so many diferent families.

It's a nice contrast. Same as how the desert and the sea join, you can find from a tiny nudy branch to a beautiful kind of shark.

Water is warm warm warm!! aroudn 84-86.

TIGER AND BULL SHARKS... COMING BACK?!

August 17, 2009

Or they never left...  the important thing is that they are here again! Two trips in a row, same site, Cabo Pulmo: tiger sharks ( big ones) and bull sharks.

The conditions in Pulmo are better than ever, 91 degrees on surface, 80-100 vis ... how can you beat that? There are more people interested in snorkeling this year in Pulmo too. FYI, the non divers are welcome on our boat – snorkeling is great as marine life starts to show in very shallow water.

Went out diving yesterday and was interesting, warm and fun! I was the only one looking at the manta, while the DM was pointing out some sea horses to the rest of the group!.

The plan isto take advantage of the great sights at Pulmo, so we are open to diferent itienraries, just a matter of you emailing us.
