DIVING CABO PULMO
May
- November: Three-Tank Diving Trips.
Cabo
Pulmo is well known for scuba diving because it has the only
living coral reef on the Pacific side of Central America. The remote
site is a haven for divers who wish to enjoy the sea and have an
amazing day of diving away from Los Cabos. Several reefs are available
for exploring that attract schools of rays, turtles, huge
gropers, schools of
jacks, pork fish, tropical fish, and even a whale shark every once
in a while.
We
will conduct 3 dives to depths of 50-60ft in Cabo Pulmo’s
and Los Frailes’ best dive sites.
In the past we drove to go to Cabo Pulmo then boarded
a small boat and traveled to the dive sites. Now that we
have decided to go to Cabo Pulmo by boat, we are not dependent
on subcontractors, we enjoy traveling on the sea and seeing pods
of dolphins, jumping manta rays, and even whales on rare occasions.
The new trip allows for more diving time: instead of two dives
we are doing three. Since we don’t depend on other boats,
the dives can be much longer then in the past if conditions and
the divers level permit it. Travel
time is 1:45 - 2:00 hours each way, depending on conditions.

Departure time: 7:30am
Return time: approx 4:30pm
Cost: $235 per person, with a minimum
of five people. Round trip transportation, light breakfast, lunch,
soft drinks, coffee, tanks and weights included.
Rent of dive gear: $25 per person.
(Price in U.S.Dollars. 10% I.V.A Tax is already
included)

GENERAL
DETAILS
- The trip to Cabo Pulmo will be conducted on the Manta Expedition
dive vessel only. The Manta Expedition is a brand new custom
made dive vessel that was built to provide the option of remote
dive expeditions. The boat is custom made with twin diesel engines
and amenities like tank holders, bathroom, sun deck, dive deck
and ample shade are available. It is the only dive boat in the
region that can reach Cabo Pulmo sites in reasonable timing and
allows enjoying 3 dives in this unique place.
- Safety is a priority. The boat
is equipped with a Satellite phone, 2 X Oxygen kits, MFA kit,
Radio VHF, cell phone, fire extinguishers, and life jackets.
General coast-guard safety requirements are among our gear for
every expedition.
- Private diving expeditions to Cabo Pulmo or Gordo
Banks are
available.
- A combined private expedition to the two areas can be arranged.
- Nitrox is available for an extra fee with advance reservation.
A NOTE: Remember
that we are diving in the ocean, not at Sea World. In spite
of our fantastic track record of sightings, we cannot completely
guarantee that we will always find these sea creatures. We
always do our best, using our experience and skill, to get
you close to the sea life and make your dive as rewarding as
possible.
