SCUBA DIVING THE GORDO BANKS
        For experienced divers only, May - January.

Scuba Diving at Gordo Banks is a spectacular experience. The legendary sea mount of Gordo Banks lies at 115ft under the surface and we will be conducting two deep dives in the site. It is an open blue water dive away from Los Cabos and the tourist area,  1 hour boat ride each way.

Schools of Hammerhead Sharks are the main attraction, pelagic (open water) fish like Tuna, Marlin, rays, turtles and Whale sharks are occasional visitors as well...
The top of the sea mount looks like the Dark side of the moon....with huge cracks, canyons, black coral and other types of strange corals.

In Gordo Banks we are usually diving with Nitrox mix of 28%, there is a huge advantage in using this mix as due to to the depth of the dives - 120 - 125ft on both dives using air will limit the bottom time considerably. It is also safer in terms of no decompression limit as there is a better chance of seeing big animals down under 100ft and we will like to stay as long as possible at that depth.

We are offering discover-Nitrox instruction for divers that are not Nitrox certified and wish to dive with Nitrox on this trip. The Instruction is short and is free of charge. We only charge for the Nitrox mixes. Read more about the advantages of Enriched Air/Nitrox>>

Due to the advanced condition in this beautiful but deep site, a day of local diving is required prior to the trip.

Travel time to the site 50 - 1:10 minutes.

Cost: $175 per person, with a minimum of four people. Snacks, lunch, soft drinks, coffee, tanks and weights included.
Rent of dive gear: $25 per person.

GENERAL DETAILS

- The trip to Gordo Banks will be conducted on the Manta Expedition or one our smaller dive boats, depending on availability.

- Safety is a priority. All four of our boats are equipped with radios, medical first aid kits and oxygen.

- Private diving expeditions to Cabo Pulmo or Gordo Banks are available.

- A combined private expedition to the two areas can be arranged.

- Nitrox is available for extra fee with advance reservation.

A NOTE: Remember that we are diving in the ocean, not at Sea World. In spite of our fantastic track record of sightings, we cannot completely guarantee that we will always find these sea creatures. We always do our best, using our experience and skill, to get you close to the sea life and make your dive as rewarding as possible.
