EAST CAPE DIVE TOUR

The East Cape tour is a 3-tank diving expedition that combines a 1st dive in the sea-mount of Gordo Banks, searching for Hammerheads, Manta Rays, tuna and schools of big fish in the deep blue offshore. Then we head for 2 more dives in an area that only Manta Scuba visits!
 
The 2nd dive will be conducted in the Maia 2 dive site, a newly discovered beautiful site located on the East Cape, 20 miles south of Cabo Pulmo and a couple of miles away from Maia reef.
 
In this 60ft dive we will swim above rock formations surrounded by huge schools of Snapper, goat fish, pork fish, angel fish, and huge groupers while on the lookout for schools of cownose and mobula rays...
 
The 3rd dive will be conducted in the Japanese Wreck located on the East Cape if conditions permit diving in the site. If not, we will be diving one of the reefs in the area.
  
This is a great day, one deep dive on the remote Gordo Banks seamount and 2 more dives on uncrowded unexplored sites. We love guiding this dive trip and highly recommend it, we include lunch, bottled drinking water and soft drinks.

DIVE GORDO BANKS ON NITROX

We always recommend diving Gordo Banks on NITROX, due to the depth (120 - 140 feet) and bottom time restriction of diving air. If you are not already certified to dive on NITROX you can follow the link below to complete the online training prior to your trip. Other than the fee paid to PADI your only cost to complete your NITROX certification with MANTA is the cost of 2 NITROX tank fills for this trip - $10 each and PADI certification fee of $35.

We strongly recommend Nitrox if you want to see the underwater spectacle of the offshore seamount Gordo Banks and get in 2 more good long dives. Using Nitrox 28 at Gordo extends allowable bottom time by 60%.

Due to the dive depth of Gordo Banks, this expedition is for intermediate and experienced divers. You must have an advanced certification or a logbook showing experience in deep diving and your dive skills must be current. If you are not sure, need a 'Tune Up' or wish to earn your Advanced certification so you can explore some of these world class sites with us - just send us an email. With a little planning we can make your dive plans a reality.
